Meet the members of G.R.A.S.P.P.
Let me tell you a little bit about us...
G.R.A.S.P.P. is a group of people with a lot of curiosity about the things that go “BUMP” in the night, and we want to know why. We believe that most things can be explained. There are always a few thing that try to stay secretive, those are the things that make us ask more questions.
Curiosity is a good thing. Paranormal phenomena is out there and it’s our goal to weed through the collected evidence and prove the facts from fiction.
We will always enjoy a good hunt for the truth. Some of our members have had their own experiences and they want some answers as well. Helping you may even help us.
Our team has been growing by leaps and bounds lately. We also have a growing network of groups and individuals that are ready to help find the truth.
We are always updating our site. We are featuring new profiles for all members of G.R.A.S.P.P. to give you a better idea of who we are.
We are very proud of the fact that we are one of the largest paranormal teams in West Michigan and VERY proud of all of the G.R.A.S.P.P. members, who have made us so knowledgeable and respected in our community.
The founders of G.R.A.S.P.P. started investigating Halloween 2005. We needed something to do that night after we learned that the little town of Nunica MI., did not “Trick or Treat” (I was totally bummed out).
My wife, Connie, suggested that we do our own ghost hunt. What the hell, why not. We called my friend Jay, and we went to the Nunica Cemetery. Back then, you could still get into this cemetery. That’s where it all began. We never could have guessed what that Halloween night was going to lead too.
Here is a little more information on the people who started to think outside of the box and began a search for answers that aren’t always very obvious.
Bill Jones - “ Gramps ” * debunkers@graspp.info
I’ve had an interest in the paranormal for many years. In 1984, I woke in the middle of the night to find what I can only describe as a shadow person standing at the foot of my bed. I gently woke my partner to see if she would see what I was seeing. I still wasn’t sure if I was awake or just dreaming. She saw the same thing and neither of us could explain it. This figure stayed at the foot of our bed for several minutes, then, it just... appeared, in the doorway. A couple of more minutes later it simply vanished. This was the start for me, I wanted answers, I needed to figure out what I had just seen.
In 2005, on Halloween night, Connie (my wife), Jay (my best friend) and myself went on our first ghost hunt in Nunica Cemetery - one of the most haunted places in Michigan. We were hooked.
We started G.R.A.S.P.P. in 2007 and things took off like a wild fire. Since then, we have gone on several investigations and the group has grown by leaps and bounds. Through trial, error and hard work we have learned a lot about the world of paranormal phenomena. We have seen and experienced many unusual things. We have debunked all kinds of events for clients all over West Michigan and helped others to understand the things that haunt them. I am very proud of G.R.A.S.P.P. and all of the people that have made this group a success. My favorite quote, and the number one rule of paranormal investigating for us is...
“If you can re-create it then it isn’t paranormal”(Jason Hawes from TAPS). To me, these are the words that say it all... the truth we live by.
Jay McClellan
I went on my first investigation with Bill and Connie on Halloween night, 2005. Our first ghost hunt raised more questions than it answered. I enjoy trying to debunk the strange things that we’ve found. It’s safe to say I’m hooked. When you’re on an investigation, you have to place yourself outside of the scene. People tell me all of the time, “I’d be too scared to go on a ghost hunt.” The only people who get scared on a ghost hunt, are those who let themselves get scared. G.R.A.S.P.P. has grown a lot over the years, and we are still amazed at the things that we find.
My wife Patricia (Pat), and my son Derek, both have an interest in ghost hunting and they occasionally join us on our investigations.

I have always had an interest in the paranormal. I have always wondered what happens after death? Are you really able to “hang around” and keep an eye on your loved ones?? I always wondered if someone was in the room with me, even though I couldn’t physically see them. If all of this were possible, would I be able to communicate with them? I love “solving puzzles”, and getting into this field is within my interests in both ways. Communicating with those who have passed and solving the questions that go with the “other side”. I really do love solving puzzles… can you think of a bigger one??
I like the debunking side of it all... it’s another way to solve the puzzle. I enjoy taking all the issues a client might have, and try to figure out what can be explained. However, if things can’t be explained, then we have to start digging a little deeper, and see what we find in the end.
I also am into genealogy. This links me into having the interest in the research side of different places we investigate. I check out the history of the land and the home or business. I find it so exciting when I can find something of interest... especially if something comes up in the investigation that seems to have a link to the history that we have found.
G.R.A.S.P.P. is lucky to have a team as good as we do! Our dedicated investigators have made us well known in the community as honest and hard working. Rarely do we encounter the negativity that so many other groups have to deal with. I believe that part of the reason is our case managers. They are usually the first people to talk with our clients, and they are very good at what they do.
At times, we may investigate as many as 3 to 5 cases a month, this is a lot of work and a lot of research. The case managers that keep us so busy have their work cut out for them. They show the client, and our community, just how professional we are.

Specialist in Wicca, Shamanism & Druidism
I have been interested in the Paranormal since I was very young. I've been studying Wicca, Shamanism & Druidism since I was 13 years old. I always enjoy learning and studying new ideas in metaphysics and in the paranormal world. I fully believe that most everything can be debunked, yet there are things out there that cannot be explained no matter how hard you try. I would love to find hard evidence for all the non-believers out there.

I’m interested in the paranormal because it is somewhat like a puzzle and being able to help people solve it, or at least understand it makes me feel good, while giving me an awesome rush. I have always been interested in being on an actual paranormal research team. Shortly after stumbling upon the GRASPP website and meeting with Bill and Connie, I became a member of GRASPP in the fall of 2010. I have had numerous paranormal experiences growing up that I have never been able to explain, so it has always been a huge part of my life that I am very passionate about.
Kerri Erb - Retired from G.R.A.S.P.P.
Kerri has moved to the great state of Wyoming to be closer to her family. She will continue to investigate out there and we will still be working with her. Good luck, girl!
I first became interested in the Paranormal at the age of 8 yrs. old. I woke up in the middle of the night with my bed shaking. I then found out that my mothers Father in law passed away in that bed a few years before this event. I was curious as to what was causing this disturbance and if I would ever be able to actually "see" whatever it was someday. It is said that young children and animals are able to see what we as adults are not able to see. I am also curious as to "why" this is. Hopefully we can soon find the answer to these questions with science and continued investigations.
Every person in G.R.A.S.P.P. is an investigator. Everyone also takes on other duties to provide our clients with the care and expertise that they need. Our tech’s work with our equipment and train with it to make sure we know what we are doing. Without these professionals, we wouldn’t be as successful as we are.

I have been investigating the paranormal for a few years now. I have always been interested in what could be out there and I am glad to have the opportunity to search and find answers. I don’t know what is out there exactly, but I will continue to search for clues even if it means debunking almost all phenomena just to find that one piece of amazing paranormal footage. I believe in searching for natural causes before jumping to paranormal conclusions but will give credence to any evidence that cannot be debunked. I love to read, watch movies (especially comedies and horror movies). I always make time to just veg out and relax. I love to go online and surf around randomly finding mostly answers to unlikely trivia and funny videos. Part of this searching is what got me hooked on the paranormal and its study. Being the equipment manager for the G.R.A.S.P.P. is a great position for me. I also am the person who maintains the groups social pages.

I am the provoker of the group. The Paranormal has interested me for many years. I have had a few of my own experiences that have made me wonder if there really is more going on out there.

I have been curious about the paranormal since I was a child. My mother used to watch "Unsolved Mysteries" which always seemed to managed to have a ghost story in each episode and my mom would tell me about her experiences. I never had an experience that I would say is completely paranormal at the time. After I graduated from college I got hooked into the many paranormal investigation shows and really wanted to do it, I was just unsure how. After some news came out of fake evidence and such, I decided if I was to get the answers I seeked that I needed to do it myself which brought me to contact G.R.A.S.P.P.
Since my background is science in its nature, yet I know there are unexplainable things even to doctors, I have found that to be my driving force. My main goals are to find the most logical, scientific answers to experiences and if there is not one, to be able to produce scientific readings and information that proves otherwise without a doubt. I hope to one day be at least a small piece that helps bring the study of paranormal as a science into the mainstream and away from the taboo side. As I study more, I hope to invent new tools and technology that will help in this quest.
All of the members of G.R.A.S.P.P. are investigators, but these members train to be the very best at what they do. These people take pride in what they do and our clients always comment on the quality of their work. We have also brought in a couple of new members who’s profiles will be added soon.
We are proud to have these members working with us!

I am a skeptic, but I believe that our energy has to go somewhere after we pass on and that is how my interest in the paranormal came to be. After watching episodes of the popular ghost hunting shows my interest was heightened. One particular episode especially captured my interested. The group was investigating a retired Navy ship and they caught an EVP on one of their recorders that sounded like a man saying his name. They brought in a man who used to work on the ship and played it for him. He instantly got emotional, he recognized the voice as a man who he used to work with on the ship, but had since passed. This struck a cord with me because, if this man could hear the voice of a long gone friend, who else could this happen to?
You are only as good as your information. Here are a few more reasons G.R.A.S.P.P. is as good as we keep saying. These members are good at finding the stories behind the story. They do their magic and allow us to show our clients things that may explain something that is happening or a fact about the history of their home that they never knew.
