You will find some of the recordings that we have been able to capture. We felt that these were interesting enough to bring to your attention. Feel free to tell us your opinions and maybe even send us one that you would like us to post.
I would like to apologize in advance as these clips do not seem to load as fast as I would have like them to. I am working on finding a better program that will agree more with our current programing.
EVIDENCE CLASSIFICATION
This is the format that G.R.A.S.P.P. will use to help clarify and grade the quality of the evidence (photo’s, video’s & EVP’s) that we capture. This format is recommended and used by other paranormal research groups; it is an excellent way to help set standards in the field of paranormal research. Standards are important to help bring the facts to other researchers, as well as the general public, in a proven and scientific method.
G.R.A.S.P.P. will implement these formats and train all members to use them as well as offering it to other groups.
EVP Classifications
There are 3 main classifications for the grading of EVP’s. These standards have been set by the American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena (www.aaevp.com). We have added a “+ / -“to each of these classifications to further help grade them in a way that will help everyone from the average Joe to the seasoned researcher understand the strength of the evidence presented.
CLASSIFICATION A
This is a clear voice where anyone who hears it can accept what it says without being told what you think it says. It can also be heard without the use of headphones or extraordinary amplification.
CLASSIFICATION B
A voice can be heard but it is slightly muffled or soft. It might require “EVP EARS” to understand or some prompting from you. Headphones may have to be used.
CLASSIFICATION C
Something is there, but the voice can’t be understood or fully heard. Most likely, headphones would have to be used. What it says becomes dependent on who hears it.
PHOTOGRAPHIC Classifications
Photographs and videos are also set into 3 classifications. We also have added the additional “+ / -” to create a more specific quality classification to the evidence.
CLASSIFICATION A
A natural cause cannot be found as the cause of the anomaly in the photograph. This doesn’t mean that the anomaly is paranormal; it is only one more piece of the puzzle.
CLASSIFICATION B
A natural cause cannot be ruled out as the cause of the anomaly in a photograph. However, other paranormal activity has been documented at the time the photograph was taken.
CLASSIFICATION C
A natural cause can immediately be contributed as the cause of the anomaly in the photograph. DEBUNKED!
These classifications are a combined effort from G.R.A.S.P.P.; PICTURE YOURSELF GHOST HUNTING – Christopher Balzano; Josh Mantello, founder of the Berkshire Paranormal Group; & the American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena.
G.R.A.S.P.P. is presenting these classifications in the hope that other groups will adopt these as standard practices in the paranormal research field.
