This months featured group, Otsego County Paranormal, gives us a little inside information on their group:
1. Where is your group based, also when and why was your group formed?
We are based in Gaylord. We formed this group because my daughter and I were experiencing several paranormal events in our home. We became curious as to why these events were happening, and why they were happening to us.
2. How many members are currently in your group?
At this time we have 3 full time members (myself, Kelly and Jared). My oldest daughter Sara is helping from time to time with our website.
3. What types of places do you investigate?
We have gone to cemetaries in the past, and would like to go into people's homes that may need some help. We would love to get into some old historical buildings.
4. What would you consider your best investigation?
When we went to the Pioneer cemetary in Gaylord.
5. Where would you consider the ultimate location for an investigation?
The Bird Cage Theater in Arizona. I would LOVE to go there.
6. What is your stance on such things as "orbs" and much of the so called "ghost photos" out there on the Internet?
I think that probably 95-99 % of the orbs on the internet can be explained. I have serious reservations about the 'ghost photos' on the internet, as I believe that there are too many people that make up fake photos for the intentions of deceiving people.
7. What can a client expect when they contact you?
They can expect 100 % effort from us, and full confidentiality.
8. Do you charge for your investigations?
No
9. How far do you travel for investigations?
We will travel to all of Northern Michigan primarily, but would consider traveling further if the investigation was promising.
10. Does your group have a religious affiliation?
We are Catholic.
11. Does your group have an open membership? Can people request to join you?
We have an open membership, but Kelly and I have the final say on people joining. We would want to talk with them, then we would let them join on a 'trial basis'. If all worked out well, we would be happy to have them in our group.
12. What is the group motivation? What keeps the group going?
We are driven by wanting to know more about the paranormal.
